Wisconsin Day 2 (Spiders and Injuries galore)

Well day two started off great.  We made it to 9:30am Mass.  Yep the entire Mumaugh / Johnsen clan made it.  This must be a record.

When we returned home Jack, Grace and I played some basketball.  We then prepared for swimming.  On our way down to the dock we encountered one of the biggest and ugliest spiders ever.  Later on Grandma and Grace forgot about our little friend and ran directly into its web.

After becoming well acquainted with our new friend it was time for me to make dinner. We stopped at a local cheese shop and I was able to pick up the last two cheeses for our roasted veggie penne pasta bake on our way home from Church.  They also had a very coarse microplane cheese grater that I had been looking for.

I chopped up tons of zucchini, yellow squash, onions, green peppers, red peppers and roasted them in the oven.  I then proceeded to grate 4 different kinds of cheeses (fontina, romano, asiago, and parmesan reggiano).

While grating the cheeses I slipped and grated my poor right thumb (ouch!).  I am sparing you by not posting pics of the bleeding digit.

After tending to my wound and thanks to a great sous chef (Amy) I was able to finish without further incident.

We then were able to enjoy the rest of the evening in the beautiful North Woods of Wisconsin.
