We started the day off at Paul Bunyan’s Cook Shanty.

Amy and I decided to take the Bearskin State Trail back to the cabin (which is a 5 mile walk). We needed to maintain at least a 17 min as Amy is training for the Indianapolis Marathon and anyone over this maximum rate will be asked to leave the race. We were able to maintain at or below 16 mins per mile. We are walking both ways on Thursday for further training.

This is a view over Lake Minocqua (the very beginning of the trail is a bridge over this lake).

We made it through to the end and were only rained on twice. It was fun and we both felt great after finishing.

Linda, Jack and I went exploring in turtle bay while fishing. We saw a bunch of turtles, a water snake, the eagle, a loon, a blue heron, a few deer drinking from the lake, and Jack caught a couple of large mouth bass.

While we were on our little fishing adventure Auntie Melanie and Auntie Sara took Gracie horse back riding (for her birthday). Katie, Mary and Grandpa stayed at the cabin and went swimming in the lake.

(Pics coming soon!)
