Labor Day fun

Sara surprised us by coming home for Labor Day weekend.  We started by going to the Johnsen family picnic at Riverside.

I think this was the first time in 10 years that we ALL made it to a picnic at the same time!

Grace loves monkey bars and must try them at every park.

On Monday we decided to go to County Line Orchard and actually pick apples (I’ve taken the kids by myself but not gone out and picked our own apples).

Mary loved the apples right then!

    Everyone except Mary liked the tractor ride.

We ended up picking between 40 and 50 pounds of apples! (we only ate a few of them)

Then we decided to try Hobart’s new local brewery – Brickworks.

Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed the food.

We love it when Sara surprises us with visits – an adventure almost always follows!
