Good Morning.
Today started with a reprieve from soccer as the weather has flooded the fields.
We received many elated laughs and comments like “Sweet, free morning!” from our parents as we called to notify them.
It is funny how we all enjoy being outside and playing with our kids yet still cherish the occasional rainy “family time” day also.
We are blessed to have just such a day.
We do have water in our basement and that is a bummer.
It is only a small amount from seepage thus relatively minimal compared to those who are in the throws of Ike (Who names a hurricane IKE, silly NOAA).

We could have done without the rain, at least last night while we were at the Sox game, that got cancelled. Anyway since you mentioned Ike, keep my friend Tim in your prayers, him and his family live outside of Houston. I spoke with him yesterday and they stayed put, so I'm praying that they are all safe, and thier home isn't too badly damaged.
